The Interview 1

"Hello, pleased to meet you Solar Girl, allow me to introduce myself, I'm Victoria Hightower, I work for Playmate and assisting Josef on this assignment."

Amanda's heart skipped a beat at the British accent, as the woman held out her hand. After a pause which she needed to clear her head, the superhero, quickly took the woman's hand in a gentle shake. "Pleased to meet you." She said softly, "Ah, well here's one of the early pains, secret identities and all that. Call me Solar Girl, SG, I'll even answer to hey you!"

Laughing, the woman linked her arm with Solar Girl's walking the young woman further into the room, "Then please call me Vicky." Nodding forward, "Welcome to one of Third Hammer Studios." Taking in the room, Amanda nodded, "I have to admit, it's not what I was expecting." Shifting her gaze to the petite woman, Vicky laughed "I'm sure you were expecting some sort of portrait studio. Josef, does commercial photography, and I know you were expecting to meet him. However I'm afraid that he's, won't make it here today." Shaking her head as if apologizing, the woman continued. "He was scouting several locations up in Connecticut for your photo-shoot, and well, been delayed."

"Oh," Amanda sighed, but not feeling the least disappointed, as Victoria's accent was driving her crazy. "Well, another problem with the whole secret identity thing, is no phone to call and cancel an appointment."

"However," Vicky said with a smile, "Josef asked if I could get a could shots of you here in the studio, just to see how you photograph, Plus." She added as her smile grew a little wider, "If you don't mind, I can start asking a few questions for our interview?"

Laughing, Solar Girl reluctantly withdrew her arm from the warmth of Vicky's hold and took a few steps closer to the studio backdrop, "please ask away."

As she walked over to one of the tables in the room, Victoria opened a camera case as she spoke with a chuckle, "I'll admit, I expected every superhero to be about seven feet tall," Turning around with a camera in hand, the woman started making adjustments. "But you....Looking at you, I'm guessing, five foot?"

"And a quarter!" Amanda said quickly, then laughed, "Oh, I wanted to be tall...When I was growing up, I would hang from a bar, just hoping I would...Stretch just another inch or two...When I hit five foot, I was thrilled! There was something about saying, I was four eleven that depressed me."

"Are you human?"

Amanda paused at the question, she knew she was half Kryptonian, but the other half? Just a year ago, she snuck a DNA sample into a Justice League analyzer. It identified her mother's side immediately, but after several hours, it still could not identify the rest of the sample.

"I'm sorry, if you.."

"No..." Solar Girl said quickly, then added, "I was born here on Earth, in the U.S. but both of my parent were not...Ah..Human."

Victoria raised an eyebrow then smiled, "Excellent." Seeing the sudden confusion on Amanda's face, raised the camera and clicked a picture. "Not only will you be Playmates first Superhero pinup, but also our first..." scrunching her face in thought, "Extraterrestrial." She added at last.
